Dr Tõnis Eilat
Dr. Tõnis Eilat graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 2012. From 2012 to 2021, he practiced full-time in Finland, obtaining his orthopedic qualification under the supervision of renowned orthopedists at Kuopio University Hospital. From 2015 to 2017, Dr. Eilat completed the International Olympic Committee’s training program, becoming the first Estonian to earn the IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine. Since 2021, he has been working full-time as an orthopedic surgeon at East Tallinn Central Hospital. He is extensively involved in addressing various musculoskeletal issues, ranging from trauma to chronic conditions.
Dr. Eilat performs an average of 350 surgeries annually, with nearly half of them being joint replacement surgeries. Dr. Eilat is a member of the Estonian Orthopedic Society. He continuously advances his knowledge through both international and domestic professional development courses. Being actively involved in sports himself, Dr. Eilat has a deep understanding of athletes’ concerns.
